What is the Random Onion Link Generator?
The Random Onion Link Generator is a free tool that searches a database of over 11,000 .onion addresses and checks which ones are currently live on the Tor network. It randomly selects addresses and tests them through multiple tor2web gateways, finding working links in real-time.
How does the onion link generator work?
When you click "Start Searching", the generator shuffles its database of .onion addresses using a Fisher-Yates shuffle, then checks up to 300 addresses concurrently (10 at a time) by racing 3 tor2web gateway proxies per address. The first gateway to respond wins. This parallel approach finds live onions much faster than checking one at a time.
Is the Random Onion Generator free?
Yes, completely free with no account required, no tracking, no ads, and no data collection. The tool is supported entirely by optional donations.
Do I need Tor Browser to use this?
No, you don't need Tor Browser. The generator checks .onion addresses through tor2web proxies directly in your regular browser. However, if you want to actually visit a .onion link that the generator finds, you'll need the Tor Browser for proper access and anonymity.
Can I add my own .onion site to the database?
Yes! Use the submission form above to add your .onion address. It will be validated as a proper v3 .onion address (56 characters, letters a-z and digits 2-7), checked against our content filter, and then added to the search database for others to discover.
Is this tool free?

Is my privacy protected?
